Yesterday was halloween, we actually stayed home this year and passed out candy- and i took the boys around the neighborhood-
you know some people really put some thought into what they hand out, we got a couple party bags with goodies- the boys' favorite was the hot chocolate packets, and mini microwave popcorn.
we were definatly generous with our candy giving 4-5 pieces per trick-o-treater. Except the 14 year olds dressed in hooded sweatshirts claiming to be a human beings for halloween--
dum-du-dum-dum-dummmmmm
and what is the internatiol symbol for - "we- are- done- with -halloween -and -we -have -no -candy -unless- we- take- some -from- our -childrens loot?"
would that be to turn the front porch light off, the inside lights off, and pretend your not home?
then why do people still ring the doorbell??? I just dont get it- one lady sent her 5 or6 year old kid aka skeleton boy to our pitch dark doorstep, as she sat in her car on the road-- i wanted to throw a pumpkin at her-
i didnt dress up this year, becasue my hips were just too big to pull off being princess leia- the boys went with a star wars theme- every year they MUST match in some way- and NO MASKS! i hate those on kids! So we found some star wars costumes- I found DJs at target- in september, masons i got off ebay- and kennedy- i was tossing back and forth between yoda and chewbacca, but i couldt find a chewbacca for toddler-- the yoda was cute, so we went with that, i ordered a costume oct 3rd- from a place called costume hut out of canada- luckily they never charged my card, and did let me cancel, becasue the week before halloween, it still hadnt arrived, there were some ebayers who wanted up to $70 for this yoda costume- and many online places were sold out, i tried one last internet search and got a link for Party America, ordered the costume, and it was in my hands 2 days later! i was very impressed!
guess what- there will be a yoda costume on ebay next year----
Anyhoo-
maybe ill be a bit more creative next year... now to make my halloween pages for my scrapbook!
